So a few weeks ago I traveled up to Kansas City, MO to photograph my grandmothers 80th birthday party. That’s right, folks, 80! The party was a huge success and my grandmother is a fascinating woman whom I could literally spend hours upon hours talking with. Family portraits are fun because they allow me to work with a larger group, and come up with creative and fun ways to portray how unique each family is.

Now, if I live to be 80 years old I will know two things:

1. I will never obey traffic laws at that age

2. Despite being cool and also 80, I will not be as cool as my grandmother.

Such is life!
