Ahh, 2009, you have been a friend to me. This year was one of so many firsts, and very few endings, and I could not have been more blessed with each passing day. This year started off like any other, yet in a few short months, I watched my entire life’s direction change, grow, blossom, and I end 2009 only more hopeful than ever for the future.

And I have to say, I wouldn’t be anywhere if it weren’t for the constant stream of support from my dear parents, Jared, Jerriann, and all of my sweet wonderful friends and clients who have helped SNS in 2009. I am ever mindful that my business was founded on friendship and family, and I will carry that with me in every business endeavor to come.

So this post is long overdue, as I’ve been traveling for over a week now, but I am so excited to share it with you nonetheless! When Josh came to me and asked me to shoot a same-sex engagement session for him and his partner, Josh, I was overjoyed to be a part of it. After all, my job is to photograph people in love, and I can’t imagine a more suitable couple than these two fine gentlemen. I warmly welcome any chance to shoot engagements and weddings for all couples, and I mean that.

And really, who could resist these two, who were so superbly dressed and such a joy to be around? I couldn’t. So here’s just a tiny few standout shots from this unique and modern engagement session:

Josh & Josh, I do hope you enjoyed this fun session as much as I did. The photos turned out more colorful, vibrant, and stunning than I could have even imagined!

Meet my little baby, Fitz. We just brought her home this week, and already I have to board her while I am in Washington DC and NYC for the next seven days. However, after that, this little monster will  have only the faintest memory of what a cage is. She was rescued from our local  humane society, she’s only 2.6 lbs, and is the sweetest kitty. I named her Fitz after F Scott Fitzgerald and I like to joke that she is the great catsby. Anyway, if you are trying to get in touch with me this week, I will be out of office, however I will have time to respond to emails periodically. Also, please send good thoughts and prayers to Fitz while she’s caged up for a week with our vet. She’s vulnerable to upper respiratory infections and could end up having issues with her stitches, so I just want all the good vibes out there to be sent her way until I have her safely in my arms again. Yes, I know, I’ve quickly adapted the roll of the fretting, worrying mother.
